At Berean SDA Church, we partner with parents to help kids discover and follow Jesus for a lifetime so that every child knows and experiences God’s great love for them. From babies through 5th grade there is a place and programming at Berean for your kids.

Berean Kids is a ministry that endeavors to expose children ages 3 to 10 to the love of Christ through worship in Spirit and in Truth. Through Berean Kids each child will experience the Word of God through interactive lessons, child crafted sermons, and arts and crafts. It is through these experiences that we show our children that God loves us and He sent His son Jesus to die for us. We desire that every child will accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior and give their lives to Him as a true expression of reverence and adoration.

Saturdays at 9:15 am and 11:00 am for ages 3 to 10. Give yourself time to park and check-in, it’s helpful to arrive 15 minutes early, especially for our 11 am service.

Follow the signs to Berean Kids, where we will help you sign in and find your classroom. Please note that classrooms change depending on service time. Also, if you are late, please still come – you are always welcome at Berean!

Our goal is to provide an environment where babies and toddlers feel comfortable and secure. Each room is led by caring volunteers who are focused on making sure children are cared for, loved, and accepted.

Beginning in the Toddlers class, we provide experiences that give children a first impression of our loving Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus.

Preschoolers are getting their very first look at who God is and what his love means to them, so our hands-on activities, games, and stories are geared toward helping them experience and connect with the life-changing truths of the Bible.

We seek to give K – 5th-grade kids a sense of community with invested life group leaders and a creative and engaging learning environment. God’s word comes alive in both large group and life group settings.

Berean Kids is a fun, safe, age-appropriate worship experience for every child, from 3 years old to 5th grade. Kids learn in creative environments that match their curiosity. Through singing, interactive Bible stories, and hands-on activities, kids discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

On your first visit, head straight to our Berean Kids registration area. (Ask anyone in the Fellowship Hall and they’ll direct you right to us.) Our friendly weekend hosts will meet your family and get your kiddos registered for our kiosk check-in system. After that, we will lead you and your child to their room where we will introduce your child to one of our incredible leaders and also some new friends. We want to make sure that you don’t miss a thing, so we recommend arriving 15 minutes before the service begins.

When checking-in your children at a kiosk, you will receive their name tag along with two claim tickets that you will use to pick them up. As part of the check-in process in the classroom, a leader will sign your kid in on their roster. We will ask for your cell phone number so that we can contact you in case you are needed during the service.

We are so glad you asked! Safety is a top priority. We know you wouldn’t leave your kids with just anyone. Every volunteer goes through a screening process which includes a background check, reference checks, and an interview (just to name a few things). However, Berean Kids is more than just a physically safe place, it is also an emotional and spiritually safe place. We are a place where kids can ask tough questions and be in a relationship with leaders and other kids who support and care for each other.
Check-In begins 15 minutes before the beginning of each service. Prior to that, our teams are meeting and preparing for your kids.
Berean Kids welcomes students of all abilities! We partner with parents to learn how we can support their child in our existing kids’ programs. If needed, a one-on-one volunteer, called a ‘buddy,’ will help kids participate in activities and interact appropriately with their same-age peers. Buddy support is available with advance notice only. If you’re interested in a buddy for your child, here’s our special needs form.
To promote a healthy environment at Berean Kids, we ask that you keep your child at home when any of the following are observed in your child: Fever equal to or greater than 100, runny nose, questionable rash, productive cough, diarrhea, chickenpox, measles or mumps, conjunctivitis (pink eye). If a child is being treated with antibiotics for any reason, he or she should receive treatment 24 hours before coming to Berean Kids. Berean Kids volunteers are unable to administer medication of any kind to your children. If a child becomes ill or displays any of the above symptoms while in our care, we will contact you immediately. If a medical situation (beyond a little boo-boo) or illness arises and requires medical attention, you will be notified immediately. If a life-threatening illness or injury occurs, parents and emergency services will be contacted.
