Mary Frances Davis-Thompson has been a member of the Atlanta Berean SDA Church for 77 years.
She was born on July 12, 1936. Her parents are the late Lucious and Ada Davis, who joined the Atlanta
Berean SDA Church in 1945 under Pastor W.W. Fordham. She is the second oldest of 9 children.
She attended Berean Christian Junior Academy but graduated from Henry McNeal Turner
High School. She then attended and graduated from Beaumont School of Nursing in 1956.
Mary Frances worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and then a Respiratory Therapist Nurse
for 41 years and retired in 1998.
She has served the Atlanta Berean SDA Church as a teacher in the children’s division, church
historian, deaconess, community service, hospitality, nursing corps leader, and women’s ministry.
She has been a faithful King’s Daughter for 42 years. She enjoys singing, loves to travel, enjoys flower
arranging, and plays the piano. She was also an avid ice and roller skater! She was married to Theodore
Thompson Sr. for 58 years. She’s the mother of three children, Bruce, Teddy Jr. and Michel, the
grandmother of six, and a great-grandmother.
