Dr. Sherwin Jack was born in Trinidad and relocated to Brooklyn, New York, with his family at a young age, where he spent his formative years. Initially aspiring to become a commercial banker, his life took a different trajectory when he felt the calling to enter the gospel ministry. With over 30 years of dedicated service, Pastor Jack has held various roles, including pastor, evangelist, ministerial secretary, and board chair for Northeastern Academy.
Having preached the everlasting gospel across multiple countries, Pastor Jack played a pivotal role in establishing churches in Romania and Moldova, within the former Soviet Union. In the United States, he has been influential in founding five churches and has contributed significantly to the training of interns, conducting workshops, and leading seminars for pastors globally.
Pastor Jack pursued his undergraduate studies at Oakwood University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. He furthered his education at Andrews University, obtaining a Master of Divinity, and later completed a Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling from Hebrew Union College. Additionally, he holds certificates in pastoral counseling and family therapy from Onondaga Mental Health Institute and the Post Graduate Mental Health Center.
Married to Patricia Johnson from Little Rock, Arkansas, who is an educator in DeKalb County Schools, Decatur, GA, Pastor Jack and his wife are proud parents to their daughter Alese, currently enrolled at Oakwood University. Presently, Pastor Jack serves as the Senior Pastor at the Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church in Atlanta, GA.
Marvin G. Clarke Sr. serves as the Associate Pastor at the Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church and is the Lead Pastor of Legacy Church located on the Atlanta Berean Campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Pastor Clarke has had the privilege of delivering sermons in various diverse and prestigious pulpits throughout his ministry. His academic journey began at Burman University, followed by Oakwood College (University), and the University of Maryland. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Religion, specializing in Marriage & Family counseling with a focus on crisis intervention and grief following trauma.
As an Ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for over two decades, Pastor Marvin G. Clarke Sr. has received awards and recognition from governments, organizations, and community agencies for his outstanding leadership and contributions to the communities he has served.
Pastor Clarke is happily married to Olivia A. Grant, his lifelong partner whose ministry and devotion to pleasing God brought them together as one. Lady Olivia Clarke is a woman of God with a heart dedicated to divine service. The couple is blessed with four beautiful children: Micaiah, Madison, Myles, and Marvin Jr. Together, Pastor and Mrs. Clarke share a common desire—to please the Lord through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
